On 15 September 2026, the Student Club of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, organized the “Khan Tok Samphan 2026” Project at the football field of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University. The opening ceremony was presided over by Tabkrich Khumsap, Ph.D., Assistant Dean.

The project was organized to preserve and promote the valuable traditions and cultural heritage of the Lanna region, while strengthening relationships among students, lecturers, senior students, and freshmen. The event provided an opportunity for students to meet, exchange ideas, and participate in activities together in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The event featured a variety of activities, including musical performances, student performances, a traditional Lanna procession, and Lanna cultural performances. One of the highlights was the Bai Sri Su Kwan welcoming and wrist-tying ceremony for new students, which symbolized blessings and warmly welcomed freshmen into the Agro-Industry family.

Students also shared a traditional Khan Tok meal, reflecting warmth, unity, and the welcoming of new members into the Agro-Industry family, while enjoying various activities and live music throughout the evening.

The Khan Tok Samphan Project is another important activity that promotes unity, friendship, and a strong sense of belonging among students of the Faculty of Agro-Industry. It also provides an opportunity to pass on the values and cultural heritage of Lanna from seniors to juniors and from lecturers to students, contributing to the preservation and continuation of this beautiful tradition.
