On 24 September 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Niramon Utama-ang, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, represented the Dean in attending the Merit-Making Ceremony of offering alms to 66 monks in commemoration of Mahidol Day 2025.
The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Thotsapol Phueanudom, Governor of Chiang Mai Province. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, President of Chiang Mai University, Associate Professor Dr. Narain Chotirasniramit, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, together with executives, faculty members, physicians, nurses, staff, and students, participated in this auspicious event held at the ground floor plaza of Sujinno Building, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University.
Following the merit-making ceremony, participants proceeded to the wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla, the Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health in Thailand. The ceremony was held in remembrance of His boundless royal grace and immense contributions to the Thai people through his lifelong devotion of time, intellect, and personal resources to advance medicine, public health, and nursing in Thailand to be on par with international standards.
