Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University Welcomes Delegation from Satake Corporation, Japan
During 2 - 3 February 2026, the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, warmly welcomed a delegation from Satake Corporation, Japan, at Meeting Room 3, Department of Animal and Aquatic Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for collaboration in research and innovation in agro-industry.
During the visit, the delegation toured several education and research facilities of the Faculty of Agriculture, including the Swine, Poultry, Cattle, and Aquatic Education and Research Farms, to learn about academic farm management and production systems. The two sides also exchanged information and discussed potential joint research and academic activities. The delegation visited the Faculty of Agro-Industry, including the Food Innovation and Packaging Center (FIN), to learn more about the faculty’s research capabilities, technology development, and food product innovation. The visit is expected to pave the way for future collaboration in academic exchange, research development, and human resource capacity building.
The delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the university executives of Chiang Mai University, including Prof. Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, President of Chiang Mai University, and Prof. of Practice Dr. Charin Techapun, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, to discuss potential collaboration at the university level and strengthen institutional partnerships.
