On 11 March 2026, a delegation from Chiang Mai University, led by Professor of Practice Dr. Charin Techapun, Vice President, together with Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, and Assistant Professor Dr. Pavalee Chompoorat Tridtitanakiat, Assistant Dean, participated in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with Universitas Airlangga in Surabaya, Indonesia.
 

The MoU aims to strengthen academic collaboration between the two institutions in areas such as education, research, and academic exchange.
 

Following the ceremony, the delegation visited the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Universitas Airlangga to discuss potential collaboration in research, food technology, and the development of agro-industry and marine resource innovations.
 

The delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the President’s Office of Widya Mandala Catholic University to explore potential academic partnerships and strengthen institutional collaboration between the universities.
 

In addition, the delegation visited the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Widya Mandala Catholic University to discuss opportunities for cooperation in agro-industry, food technology, and joint research and innovation initiatives.
 

This series of activities reflects Chiang Mai University’s commitment to expanding its international academic network and promoting collaborative development in education, research, and innovation with leading institutions across the ASEAN region.
