On 12 March 2026, a delegation from Chiang Mai University, led by Professor of Practice Dr. Charin Techapun, Vice President, together with Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, and Assistant Professor Dr. Pavalee Chompoorat Tridtitanakiat, Assistant Dean, visited UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur University, where they met with the university’s executives at the President’s Office. On this occasion, both institutions participated in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, aimed at strengthening cooperation in education, research, and the exchange of academic staff and students.

After the ceremony, the delegation also visited the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur University to learn more about the faculty’s academic and research capabilities and to discuss potential collaboration in areas related to agro-industry. The visit marks another important step in expanding international academic networks and fostering future collaboration between the two universities.

Following this, the delegation visited University of Surabaya (UBAYA) in Surabaya, Indonesia, to meet with the university’s executives and discuss potential avenues for academic collaboration between the two institutions.
 

During the visit, the delegation paid a courtesy call at the President’s Office and visited the Faculty of Biotechnology, University of Surabaya to exchange information on teaching and learning, research activities, and opportunities for future joint academic initiatives.
