CMU x PSU: Strengthening Agro-Industry Collaboration through AIAC 1/2026
On Friday, 27 March 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, in his capacity as President of the Agro-Industry Academic Council Association (AIAC), led a delegation of executives and representatives from the Faculty to visit Prince of Songkla University, Songkhla, Thailand. He was accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Suphat Phongthai, Assistant Dean, who supported the academic collaboration mission during this visit.
On this occasion, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Saowakon Watthanachan, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Prince of Songkla University, together with the executive team. The event was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Sunthorn Wongsiri, Vice President, who delivered the welcoming remarks and officially presided over the opening of the AIAC Executive Committee Meeting No. 1/2026.
The meeting aimed to discuss the strategic directions of the Association, the development of academic collaboration initiatives, and the advancement of international engagement in a concrete and sustainable manner.
Following the meeting, a knowledge-sharing and networking session among AIAC members was held to strengthen academic collaboration at both national and international levels. The delegation also visited the Science Park, research and innovation units, laboratories, centers of excellence, and food production facilities (PSU Agro Food) to explore best practices in research infrastructure and academic services, as well as to foster future institutional collaboration.
This visit marks another significant step toward strengthening the agro-industry academic network and enhancing sustainable collaboration among institutions at both national and international levels.
