Driving CMU Policy Forward: Engineering, Agro-Industry, and Political Science Faculties of Chiang Mai University Co-host Green Office Workshop
Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, Co-hosts Green Office Workshop to Advance Low-Carbon University Initiative
The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, Chiang Mai University, organized a Green Office Workshop on March 26–27, 2026. The workshop was held at the Grand Gear Room, 1st Floor, Engineering Faculty Office Building, Chiang Mai University.
The opening ceremony took place on March 26, 2026, at 9:00 AM. The event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr.Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, who delivered the opening remarks. The workshop was also attended by representatives from the Faculty of Agro-Industry and the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Srisuwan Naruenartwongsakul, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phisit Seesuriyachan, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Alongkorn Khutrakun, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration. Faculty members and staff from all three faculties actively participated in the workshop.
The workshop aimed to collaboratively drive Chiang Mai University’s policy toward becoming a low-carbon organization. It also sought to prepare participating units for the Green Office evaluation in 2026 in a concrete and systematic manner.
This initiative reflects the strong commitment of Chiang Mai University and its faculties to environmental sustainability, resource efficiency, and the development of environmentally responsible workplace practices.
