Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University Congratulates Professor Pornchai Rachtanapun on Prestigious National Research Award and Keynote Speaker Invitation
The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Professor Pornchai Rachtanapun, a faculty member of the Department of Packaging Technology, on receiving the Winner of Ajinomoto–FoSTAT Awards 2026 for Outstanding Food Science & Technology Researcher. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding contributions to food science and technology research in Thailand.
In addition, Professor Pornchai was honored to serve as a Keynote Speaker at the Food Innovation Asia Conference 2026 (FIAC 2026), held at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Thailand. During the conference, he delivered a keynote lecture entitled:
“Research and Development of Bio-based Materials and Active and Intelligent Packaging from Agricultural Residues for Food Safety and Sustainability.”
On this occasion, Associate Professor Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, presented a congratulatory bouquet to Professor Pornchai in recognition of this remarkable achievement and to celebrate the pride it brings to the Faculty.
This accomplishment reflects Professor Pornchai’s leadership and excellence in research and innovation in sustainable food packaging, particularly in the development of bio-based materials and active and intelligent packaging technologies. His contributions continue to enhance the reputation of Chiang Mai University at both national and international levels.
