AIAC President and Dean of Agro-Industry CMU Opens the 2026 Annual General Meeting
On 12 June 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, and President of the Agro-Industry Academic Council Association (AIAC), presided over the opening ceremony of the AIAC 2026 Annual General Meeting at Sapphire 101, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Thailand.
The meeting was convened to report the Association’s achievements over the past year, discuss future strategic directions, and provide a platform for member institutions to exchange ideas and recommendations aimed at strengthening Thailand’s academic network in agro-industry and food sciences.
During the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana highlighted the role of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, as a leading institution in agro-industry and food education, research, and innovation. He emphasized the Faculty’s commitment to fostering collaboration among universities, industry partners, and international networks to advance knowledge creation, research excellence, and human resource development capable of addressing future challenges in the food and agro-industry sectors.
As President of AIAC, he further underscored the importance of strong partnerships among higher education institutions, industry stakeholders, and academic organizations at both national and international levels. Such collaborations are essential for advancing education, research, and innovation while strengthening Thailand’s competitiveness in the global agro-industry and food sectors.
The meeting was also attended by Associate Professor Dr. Sujinda Sriwattana, AIAC Advisor from the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, who actively contributed valuable insights and recommendations to discussions on the Association’s future directions. Her participation reflected the Faculty’s continued commitment to supporting academic leadership and collaborative development within Thailand’s agro-industry community.
The AIAC 2026 Annual General Meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of member institutions to enhancing academic cooperation, promoting research and innovation, and strengthening partnerships that contribute to the sustainable advancement of Thailand’s agro-industry and food sectors.
