🤝🥥 On 15 June 2026, the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, Samut Sakhon Campus, held a discussion with Thai Khana Interfoods Co., Ltd. (COCO-1), located in Ban Phaeo District, Samut Sakhon Province.

The meeting aimed to promote collaboration in utilizing by-products and waste materials generated from coconut processing, including coconut residue, coconut shells, coconut husks, surplus coconut water, coconut fiber, and various coconut sludge residues. These materials will be developed into innovative products and learning activities for the science camp “Agro CMU Journey @ Samut Sakhon 2026: CocoNova – The Coconut Island of the Future.”

In addition, both parties discussed opportunities for student factory visits, allowing participants to learn about industrial production processes and the efficient utilization of resources in accordance with the principles of the BCG Economy (Bio-Circular-Green Economy) and Circular Economy. The discussion also included the promotion of the Faculty’s academic services and laboratory facilities to support local entrepreneurs and foster sustainable regional development.
