Orientation Day for New Graduate Students at the Faculty of Agro-Industry, CMU, Academic Year 2026
On Friday, June 19, 2026, at 9:00 AM, the Educational Services and Student Quality Development Unit, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, organized the Orientation Day for New Graduate Students (Master’s and Doctoral Programs) at Meeting Room 4, Faculty Office Building.
The event was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Ph.D. , Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, who presided over the opening ceremony and delivered welcoming remarks and words of encouragement to the new students. He also provided useful information regarding graduate studies, including introductions to faculty support staff, classrooms and laboratory facilities, scholarship opportunities, and research funding support.
In addition, a special lecture entitled “How to Study Effectively and Graduate on Time” was delivered to enhance students’ understanding of study planning, time management, and the essential steps leading to successful and timely graduation.
During the final session, students had the opportunity to meet and interact with faculty members from their respective academic programs. This session enabled students to select their academic advisors and discuss potential thesis or dissertation topics of interest. Faculty members and program staff also provided important information regarding graduate course registration and academic requirements.
The orientation program aimed to prepare new students for graduate study by strengthening both their academic readiness and study-planning skills. It also sought to foster positive relationships between students and faculty members, providing a strong foundation for learning, research, and personal development throughout their graduate studies at the Faculty of Agro-Industry.
