
Faculty of Agro-Industry, CMU Organizes “Doi Kham Pagoda Worship Ceremony 2026” to Welcome New Students and Uphold a Cherished Tradition
On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the Student Union of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, organized the “Doi Kham Pagoda Worship Ceremony for Academic Year 2026” at Wat Phra That Doi Kham, Chiang Mai. The event was held to preserve the Faculty’s long-standing tradition and to warmly welcome first-year students.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripo, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, together with the Faculty’s executive team, faculty members, and staff, who joined the event to encourage and welcome the new students. More than 500 participants attended the activity.
The Doi Kham Pagoda Worship Ceremony is an annual tradition of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, providing first-year students with an opportunity to pay respect to Phra That Doi Kham, one of Chiang Mai’s most revered sacred sites. The activity aims to bring good fortune and blessings as students begin their university journey while fostering moral values, gratitude, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility—qualities that serve as important foundations for both academic success and personal development.
The atmosphere throughout the event was warm, joyful, and filled with smiles from both new and senior students. Under the guidance and care of the Faculty’s executives, faculty members, staff, and the Student Union, the activity reflected the strong collaboration of all parties in creating a memorable and meaningful experience while warmly welcoming the Class of 2026 into the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University.
