Faculty of Agro-Industry (Samut Sakhon), Chiang Mai University Visits Thitinan Food Co., Ltd. to Support BRC Certification PreparationOn Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 9:00 AM, a team from the Faculty of Agro-Industry (Samut Sakhon), Chiang Mai University visited Thitinan Food Co., Ltd., located in Bang Tho Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Sakhon District, Samut Sakhon Province, to conduct a site study and provide support for quality system developmentThitinan Food Co., Ltd. specializes in the production and distribution of dried fruits and is currently preparing to apply for BRC (British Retail Consortium) certification to enhance product quality and expand its export market.
The advisory team included:
Ms. Sumalee Tantaviriyakul, Food Safety Consultant from the Food Science and Technology Association of Thailand (FoSTAT)
Mr. Pitanat Yongjai, Field Survey and Analysis Specialist
The site visit revealed that the company’s second factory building is suitable for BRC system development, while the original factory building has structural limitations such as cracks, drainage issues, and environmental conditions that do not yet meet the required standards.
The team compiled a list of improvement areas along with actionable recommendations and prepared:
A project proposal to seek funding support from ITAP (Innovation and Technology Assistance Program) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA)
A step-by-step quality system development plan to achieve BRC certification
