Faculty of Agro-Industry, CMU, Conducts Annual Emergency Response, Fire Evacuation, and Basic Firefighting Training 2026
The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, organized the 2026 Emergency Response, Fire Evacuation, and Basic Firefighting Training Program on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, at Meeting Room 4 and the eastern lawn of the Faculty of Agro-Industry Administration Building. The event was attended by the Faculty's executives, academic staff, and supporting personnel.
The training was led by a team of experts headed by Mr. Pitakpong Phuen-apai, an officer from the Chiang Mai Provincial Office of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, who provided both theoretical instruction and practical exercises. The program aimed to enhance participants' knowledge and preparedness in responding to emergency situations, including fire incidents and earthquakes.
Participants received hands-on training in the proper use of portable fire extinguishers and fire evacuation procedures, enabling them to respond effectively, protect themselves, and assist others safely in the event of an actual emergency. The program also reinforced the Faculty's commitment to fostering a safe working environment and strengthening emergency preparedness across the organization.
