Faculty of Agro-Industry, CMU, Preserves Traditions with Annual Lent Candle Offering Ceremony 2026
The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, led by its executive team, faculty members, staff, and student representatives, participated in the 2026 Annual Buddhist Lent Candle Offering Ceremony to uphold the Thai Buddhist tradition of offering candles during the Buddhist Lent season. The ceremony was held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Wat Aranyawat (Wat Phra That Sri Mueang Pong) in Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai.
On this occasion, the faculty was honored to receive the gracious presence of Phra Khru Achawapricha (Natthachai Aphichawanto), Abbot of Wat Aranyawat, who presided over the offering ceremony and received the offered Lent candles and monastic requisites. These offerings will be used to support the temple's religious activities throughout the Buddhist Lent period.
