World's Top 2% Scientist Shares Global Insights on Food Security and Food Innovation at Kasetsart University
On 29 May 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, accompanied Dr. Mahsa Majzoobi from RMIT University, Australia, to deliver a special lecture at Kasetsart University, Bangkok.
Dr. Majzoobi is an internationally recognized researcher and has been listed among the World's Top 2% Scientists. Her expertise in starch science, food innovation, and sustainable biobased materials has made significant contributions to advancing research and industrial applications in the food sector.
The lecture was organized under the Reinventing University Program: Driving Collaboration with International Experts in Food Security, a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening academic networks, fostering research collaboration, and enhancing knowledge exchange among higher education institutions. The activity was also supported through collaboration with the Agro-Industry Academic Council Association (AIAC).
During the session, Dr. Majzoobi shared her expertise on starch modification technologies, highlighting how scientific discoveries can be translated into practical industrial solutions. The lecture also addressed emerging trends in food innovation, sustainable food systems, and the critical role of research in addressing global food security challenges.
The event provided a valuable platform for faculty members, researchers, and students to engage with a leading international expert while promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and the exchange of cutting-edge knowledge.
