Food Handler Training Program Enhances Food Safety Knowledge and Compliance Among Food Business Operators
The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, through its Food Innovation and Packaging Center (FIN), in collaboration with Government Savings Bank (GSB) Region 8, organized a Food Handler Training Program in accordance with the Ministerial Regulation on the Hygiene of Food Premises B.E. 2561 (2018) on June 12, 2026, at the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University.
The program was designed to promote knowledge of food sanitation and food safety standards among food entrepreneurs, food handlers, and related personnel, enabling them to operate their businesses in compliance with hygiene practices and legal requirements.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Assistant Professor Dr. , Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, who highlighted the Faculty’s role in transferring knowledge and expertise in food science and technology to businesses and society.
This training program reflects FIN’s commitment to serving as a hub for knowledge transfer and food innovation, supporting entrepreneur development and contributing to the advancement of Thailand’s food industry toward higher standards, greater competitiveness, and long-term sustainability.
