Faculty of Agro-Industry, CMU Welcomes Delegation from Deakin University, Australia
On 22 June 2026, the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University (CMU), had the honor of welcoming a delegation from Deakin University, Australia, to strengthen academic collaboration and explore future opportunities for international partnership.
The delegation was warmly received by Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, together with faculty executives and academic staff. The visit provided a valuable platform for discussions on potential areas of cooperation, including student mobility programs, dual degree opportunities, collaborative research initiatives, academic exchange activities, and the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions.
As part of the visit, the Deakin University delegates also conducted a Master Class for second- and third-year students in the International Food Science and Technology (FST) Program at Room 1-219, Faculty of Agro-Industry. The session provided students with valuable insights into current trends in food science, international education opportunities, and research perspectives, while encouraging active engagement and academic exchange between students and the visiting scholars.
The two institutions also discussed opportunities to strengthen academic collaboration, particularly through the PlusOne Program in partnership with the Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology (International Program). This initiative will provide students with pathways to pursue advanced studies at Deakin University while gaining valuable international learning experiences, enhancing their global perspectives, and strengthening their competitiveness in an increasingly interconnected world.
The Faculty of Agro-Industry highly values this opportunity to strengthen international academic networks and looks forward to developing sustainable collaborations with Deakin University in education, research, innovation, and student development.
