Faculty members of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University (Agro-Industry CMU), have contributed their knowledge and expertise in food packaging technology to the international academic community.

Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol has served as a co-editor of the book “Biosensors and Smart Packaging for Food Products: A Sustainable Development Approach,” together with Professor Dr. Gargi Ghoshal, published by Elsevier. The book brings together knowledge and recent advances in biosensors, intelligent food packaging, and sustainable packaging technologies, covering a wide range of topics, from systems for monitoring food quality and safety to advanced materials and technologies for intelligent packaging.

In addition, Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Associate Professor Dr. Kittisak Jantanasakulwong, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sarinthip Thanakkasaranee contributed as authors of Chapter 13, “Biopolymer-Based Nanocomposites for Sustainable Intelligent Packaging.” The chapter explores advanced materials and nanotechnology for the development of sustainable intelligent packaging.

This international academic contribution reflects the expertise and academic potential of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, particularly in food technology, packaging materials, and sustainable food innovation. It also demonstrates the Faculty’s commitment to advancing knowledge and strengthening academic collaboration and networks at the international level.
