Science Camp Project ("SciQuest: An Extraordinary Science Adventure — From Lab to the Wider World") Year 3
The Faculty of Agro-Industry (Samut Sakhon), Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with Samut Sakhon Buranа School's Special Science Classroom, organized the Science Camp Project ("SciQuest: An Extraordinary Science Adventure — From Lab to the Wider World") Year 3, held from July 3–5, 2025 (2568 B.E.). The camp brought together 30 Grade 10/1 (Mathayom 4/1) students to experience integrated science learning, connecting laboratory knowledge to real-world applications in the field and in industry.

Students went out to learn beyond the classroom at Ban Rup Top Farm, Ban Phaeo District, studying modern science and agriculture, experiencing the concept of sustainable farming, and learning about the application of science in agricultural production through hands-on experience. This was followed by a visit to the production lines and industrial-level technology at Pataya Food Co., Ltd., to give students a picture of how scientific knowledge is applied in the real business world.
📌 Saturday, July 4, 2026
The camp was officially opened by Assistant Professor Dr. Pattranit Klinmalai, Assistant Dean, along with a video introducing the Faculty and a special briefing introducing the project. This was followed by relationship-building recreational activities led by students from the Marine Product Technology program. Afterward, students were divided into groups to take part in hands-on activities at three science stations: the Biology Station (DNA extraction and learning about yogurt production), the Chemistry and Physics Station (acid titration in fruit juice and an Anthocyanin indicator experiment), and the Food Processing Station (making cookies from Riceberry rice, along with a sensory test).
📌 Sunday, July 5, 2026
Students reviewed their knowledge once more through the science activity stations before moving into the highlight of the camp: developing science project ideas in their respective groups, with guidance and feedback from faculty members and expert scientists. The camp concluded with an overall summary of the three days of activities.
The SciQuest Year 3 camp aims to promote essential 21st-century skills — critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication — through fun, challenging activities that spark creativity, while giving students the opportunity to experience a university-level learning atmosphere up close.
