The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, proudly congratulates five faculty members on being awarded research grants under the Industrial Research and Technology Capacity Development Platform (IRTC) for the Fiscal Year 2026.
The IRTC program, administered by the Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University, aims to strengthen research and technological capabilities through collaborative innovation with the private sector, fostering research that can be translated into practical applications and commercial value.
The five awarded research projects are as follows:
Assistant Professor Dr. Korawit Chaisu Project: Development and Enhancement of Low-Sodium Shio Koji Seasoning for Improved Tenderization and Flavoring of Meat as a Natural Alternative to Chemical Additives
Assistant Professor Dr. Sukhuntha Osiriphun Project: Development of Aloe Vera Energy Film Roll for Athletes and Field Personnel
Assistant Professor Dr. Suphat Phongthai Project: Development of a Functional Plant-Based Protein Beverage Enriched with Functional Proteins from Mung Bean and Cashew
Dr. Kamon Yakul Project: Non-Alcohol Coconut Brew: A Thai Coconut-Based Non-Alcoholic Beer-Style Beverage
Dr. Chalalai Jaisan Project: Development of Concentrated Dietary Fiber and Bioactive Powder from Date Kombucha Processing By-products for Value-Added Healthy Food Products
