The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University organized a certificate training workshop to provide students with essential knowledge and practical skills in food safety.
The program featured two training courses:“Good Hygiene Practices (GHPs) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) (Rev.2022)” and“Food Allergen Management,” held during November 3–5, 2025, at Room 1-111–112, Building 1, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Supat Pongthai, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, and the training was conducted by Mr. Niran Laopanassak,
an alumnus of the Faculty (Food Science and Technology Program) and consultant from Quality Up Institute. The event was well-received, with participation from over 140 students. The objective of this workshop was to enhance students’ understanding of Good Hygiene Practices (GHPs) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems —
key international standards in the food industry — as well as to strengthen their knowledge of Food Allergen Management, a growing concern in modern food safety management.
Through this training, students were equipped with both theoretical and practical skills to effectively apply these standards in real-world industrial settings. This initiative forms part of the Faculty’s ongoing efforts to develop students’ professional competencies, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the evolving demands of the global food industry.
