     คณะฯ เยือน Gangneung-Wonju National University เพื่อหารือความร่วมมือด้านวิจัยกับ Prof. Dr. SangGuan You ทั้งนี้ได้มีการนำเสนองานวิจัยร่วมระหว่างสองมหาวิทยาลัย พร้อมทั้งเยี่ยมชมห้องปฏิบัติการทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ห้องสัตว์ทดลอง และโรงงานต้นแบบรวมถึงหารือเรื่องการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาในอนาคต  และติดตามความก้าวหน้าโครงการวิจัยที่ดำเนินการร่วมกันผ่านศูนย์นวัตกรรมอาหารและบรรจุภัณฑ์ (FIN)

    อีกทั้ง ได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมสถานประกอบการชั้นนำด้านนวัตกรรมของสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ได้แก่ PharmaResearch Co. Ltd. ผู้ผลิต Rejuran ผู้นำด้านเครื่องสำอางจากสารสกัดปลาแซลมอน และเยี่ยมชมโรงงาน OPTBIO Co., Ltd. ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านสารสกัดจากธรรมชาติ

    การเดินทางครั้งนี้ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการยกระดับความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและนวัตกรรมระหว่าง คณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ กับสถาบันชั้นนำของสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ซึ่งจะนำไปสู่การพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ งานวิจัย และนวัตกรรมร่วมกันอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม อีกทั้งยังเป็นโอกาสในการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและบุคลากร เพื่อเสริมสร้างประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้ในระดับนานาชาติในอนาคตอย่างยั่งยืน


AGRO CMU Establishes Academic and Innovation Collaboration in the Republic of Korea Under the "Seed International Initiatives" Project

   The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University (AGRO CMU), led by Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean, and Associate Professor Dr. Sutee Wangtueai, Associate Dean and Project Leader, along with lecturers from the Faculty of Agro-Industry (Samut Sakhon), participated in a mini-seminar on research progress and strategic networking in seafood innovation under the "Seed International Initiatives" during May 12–16, 2025, in the Republic of Korea, aiming to strengthen collaborative networks with leading institutions in Korea.

    The delegation participated in a Mini-Symposium with the National Korea Maritime & Ocean University (KMOU), where they were honored by Prof. Dr. Sun-Young Lim from the Division of Convergence on Marine Science, who warmly welcomed the group and delivered the opening remarks at the College of Ocean Science and Engineering, KMOU. This symposium provided a valuable platform for exchanging information on university missions, academic management, and the presentation of research findings from both institutions.
     In the afternoon, a signing ceremony was held for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on academic collaboration between the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, and the College of Ocean Science and Engineering, KMOU. The deans of both institutions signed the agreement: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol and Prof. Dr. Dong-Hoan Seo, to continue existing collaborations and expand into new future projects.

     The delegation visited Kyungpook National University (KNU) to discuss potential collaboration in student and staff exchange programs, with the aim of enhancing international education and research capabilities. The delegation toured various laboratories and was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Cheol Ho Choi (Chair of Chemistry, Graduate School) and Prof. Dr. Sunghwan Kim. Additionally, discussions on Food Science and Biotechnology were held with Prof. Dr. Mi-Kyung Park (Dean, School of Food Science and Biotechnology) to establish future collaborations.
    In the afternoon, the delegation met with Professor Dr. Gyu Hyun Kwon, Vice Director of the Hanyang Institute for Entrepreneurship, Hanyang University, to discuss the development of dual-degree programs and graduate-level curriculum for the Agro-Industrial Innovation and Entrepreneurship (AIE) program.

      The delegation visited Gangneung-Wonju National University to discuss research collaboration with Prof. Dr. SangGuan You. A joint research presentation was conducted between the two universities, accompanied by visits to scientific laboratories, animal research facilities, and the pilot plant. Discussions also covered future student exchange opportunities and progress reviews of ongoing collaborative research projects through the Food Innovation and Packaging Center (FIN).
     Furthermore, the delegation visited leading Korean innovation enterprises in the Republic of Korea, including the PharmaResearch Co. Ltd., the manufacturer of Rejuran, a leader in cosmetic products derived from salmon cell, as well as the production facility of the OPTBIO Co., Ltd., a specialist in the development of natural ingredients.

     This visit marks a significant step in strengthening academic and innovation collaboration between the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, and leading institutions in the Republic of Korea. The strong collaboration is expected to lead to the concrete development of knowledge, research, and innovation. It also expands the opportunities for student and staff exchanges, thereby enhancing sustainable international learning experiences in the future.
