คณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ ให้การต้อนรับนักวิจัย นักวิชาการ และผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านอาหารและชีวภาพประยุกต์จากทั่วโลก ในการประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติด้านอาหารและชีวภาพประยุกต์ ครั้งที่ 8 (The 8th International Conference on Food and Applied Bioscience 2026: FAB2026) ภายใต้แนวคิด “The Food Singularity: Converging Sustainable AgriTech to Frontier Food Era” หรือ “จุดเปลี่ยนของระบบอาหารโลก: การบูรณาการเทคโนโลยีการเกษตรยั่งยืนสู่ยุคอาหารแห่งอนาคต” จัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 5–6 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 ณ โรงแรมดิเอ็มเพรส จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เพื่อเป็นเวทีระดับนานาชาติสำหรับการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ นวัตกรรม และการสร้างความร่วมมือด้านเทคโนโลยีอาหารและชีวภาพประยุกต์ ท่ามกลางความท้าทายของระบบอาหารโลกในศตวรรษใหม่

พิธีเปิดการประชุม FAB2026 จัดขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 5 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก ศาสตราจารย์ ดร.นพ.พงษ์รักษ์ ศรีบัณฑิตมงคล อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ เป็นประธานในพิธี พร้อมด้วย รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ยุทธนา พิมลศิริผล คณบดีคณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร กล่าวรายงานการจัดงาน โดยมีคณะผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ คณาจารย์ นักวิจัย นักเรียน นักศึกษา และผู้เข้าร่วมจากนานาชาติเข้าร่วมงานอย่างคับคั่ง

การประชุม FAB เป็นการประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติที่ได้รับการยอมรับอย่างต่อเนื่อง จากความสำเร็จของการจัดงานตลอด 7 ครั้งที่ผ่านมา ในฐานะศูนย์กลางการนำเสนอผลงานวิจัยระดับแนวหน้า และเวทีสำคัญในการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างนักวิจัย นักวิชาการ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ นักศึกษา และภาคอุตสาหกรรมจากหลากหลายประเทศ แนวคิดหลักของการประชุมในปีนี้ “The Food Singularity” สะท้อนถึงจุดเปลี่ยนสำคัญของระบบอาหารโลก เมื่อเทคโนโลยีการเกษตรที่ยั่งยืน (Sustainable AgriTech) และนวัตกรรมอาหารยุคใหม่ (Frontier Food) กำลังหลอมรวมกัน เพื่อรับมือกับประเด็นสำคัญ อาทิ ความมั่นคงทางอาหาร การเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ การใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ และการเข้าถึงโภชนาการที่มีคุณภาพอย่างทั่วถึง

นอกจากนี้ ในปี 2569 ยังนับเป็นปีแรกที่การประชุม FAB ได้จัดกิจกรรม CNX Food and Applied Science Invention & Exhibition (CNX FINEX) ควบคู่ไปกับการประชุมวิชาการ โดยกิจกรรมดังกล่าวมุ่งเน้นการเชื่อมโยงผลงานวิจัยสู่การนำไปใช้จริง เปิดพื้นที่สำคัญให้แก่นักเรียน นักศึกษา และนักนวัตกรรม ได้ร่วมแข่งขันการนำเสนอผลงานที่มีแนวคิดตอบโจทย์ระบบอาหารแห่งอนาคต

การประชุม FAB2026 ได้เปิดเวทีให้ผู้เข้าร่วมนำเสนอและแลกเปลี่ยนผลงานวิจัยในหลากหลายสาขา ครอบคลุมตั้งแต่วิทยาศาสตร์โภชนาการเพื่อสุขภาพ เทคโนโลยีการแปรรูปทรัพยากรชีวภาพอย่างยั่งยืน นวัตกรรมอาหารและผลิตภัณฑ์แห่งอนาคต ความปลอดภัยอาหารตามมาตรฐานสากล ระบบชีวภาพระดับจุลภาคเพื่อการผลิตอาหาร ไปจนถึงการออกแบบบรรจุภัณฑ์ที่สอดคล้องกับแนวคิดความยั่งยืนและเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน พร้อมทั้งมุ่งเน้นการเชื่อมโยงงานวิจัยสู่การใช้ประโยชน์จริง ผ่านความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันการศึกษา เครือข่ายวิจัย และภาคอุตสาหกรรม เพื่อร่วมกันพัฒนาโซลูชันใหม่ ๆ ที่สามารถตอบโจทย์ระบบอาหาร ทั้งในมิติด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม เศรษฐกิจ และสังคม ได้ในระยะยาวอย่างยั่งยืน

The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, welcomed researchers, academics, and experts in food and applied bioscience from around the world to the 8th International Conference on Food and Applied Bioscience 2026 (FAB2026), held under the theme “The Food Singularity: Converging Sustainable AgriTech to Frontier Food Era.” The conference took place on 5–6 February 2026 at The Empress Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand, serving as an international platform for the exchange of knowledge, innovation, and collaboration in food technology and applied bioscience amid the growing challenges facing global food systems in the new century.

The opening ceremony of FAB2026 was held on 5 February 2026 and was presided over by Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, M.D., President of Chiang Mai University, who officially declared the conference open. The event also featured a report on the conference objectives delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry. The ceremony was attended by Chiang Mai University executives, faculty members, researchers, students, and international participants.

FAB has been continuously recognized as a leading international academic conference, building on the success of its previous seven editions. It has served as a hub for presenting cutting-edge research and as a vital platform for fostering collaborative networks among researchers, academics, experts, students, and industry partners from around the world. This year’s theme, “The Food Singularity,” reflects a critical turning point in global food systems, where sustainable agricultural technologies (Sustainable AgriTech) and frontier food innovations are converging to address key global challenges such as food security, climate change, efficient resource utilization, and equitable access to quality nutrition.

In addition, 2026 marks the first year that FAB has hosted the CNX Food and Applied Science Invention & Exhibition (CNX FINEX) alongside the academic conference. This initiative emphasizes the translation of research into real-world applications and provides an important platform for students, young researchers, and innovators to participate in competitions and present innovative ideas and solutions designed to meet the needs of future food systems.

FAB2026 offered participants opportunities to present and exchange research across a wide range of disciplines, including nutrition science for health, sustainable bioresource processing technologies, future food and product innovations, international food safety standards, micro-level biological systems for food production, and packaging design aligned with sustainability and circular economy concepts. The conference also highlighted the importance of transforming research into practical applications through collaboration among academic institutions, research networks, and industry partners, with the shared goal of developing long-term, sustainable solutions for food systems across environmental, economic, and social dimensions.
