Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University welcomed delegation from Huazhong Agricultural University, People’s Republic of China, for an Academic Visit and Cultural Exchange

 

     On 3 February 2026, the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University welcomed a delegation from Huazhong Agricultural University, People’s Republic of China, on the occasion of their academic visit and participation in academic and cultural exchange activities aimed at strengthening international collaboration and institutional networking. The visit commenced with an official opening ceremony presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanongsak Chaiyaso, who delivered the opening remarks, introduced the Faculty of Agro-Industry, and warmly welcomed the delegation from the partner university. Following the ceremony, the delegation was guided on a tour of the Faculty’s facilities, including the Pilot Plant and the Biopolis Building, to showcase the Faculty’s capacity in teaching, research, and infrastructure. The program continued with a cooking activity, during which participants learned how to make a traditional Thai dessert, Bua Loy, providing an opportunity for cultural exchange through local dessert. The visit concluded with a cultural excursion to Wat Phra That Doi Kham, one of Chiang Mai’s important religious and cultural landmarks.

     This visit marked an important step in strengthening institutional ties and served as a foundation for future academic collaboration and international activities between the two institutions.
